一般痛经都是指原发性痛经(即功能性痛经,而非生殖器官的器质性病变)。它的发生与身体素质较差、内分泌失调(其中前列腺素的水平与痛经的关联最为密切)及精神因素有一定的关系。

1.痛经患者的饮食应注意摄入充足的蛋白质、脂肪、糖类、水、纤维素、无机盐和微量元素;维生素方面特别要重视与生殖功能有关的维生素E以及维生素B、维生素C、维生素D的作用。

2.痛经患者的饮食取舍还应根据临床表现的寒热虚实特点不同而决定,寒证应多吃温经散寒的食物,如荔枝、板栗、胡萝卜等。

3.痛经患者可以适当地饮用一些低度酒类,如黄酒、葡萄酒、米酒等,以取其散瘀行气、温阳通脉的作用。

4.除热证患者,在行经期内,一律忌食寒性、凉性的食物,如黄瓜、冬瓜、西瓜等;所有痛经患者在行经期内都应忌食辛辣而有刺激性的食物。

2.蔬菜,得按病证的寒热虚实特点进行选择,寒性痛经多用韭菜、姜等;热性痛经多用平性品种,如青菜、黄芽白菜、荠菜等。

1、有一部分痛经患者属于湿热蕴结类型,存在生殖器官炎症,应特别要忌食辛辣或有刺激性的食物,如辣椒、胡椒、大蒜、葱、洋葱、韭菜等,也不要吸烟或喝烈性酒,以免加重盆腔充血及炎症发展而使痛经更甚。

2、经期内,尤其是湿热蕴结型痛经患者不用胡椒、花椒、芥末等气味香窜的刺激性调料。

3、痛经患者要忌食酸性食物,因一般酸性食物性寒,具有固涩收敛作用,易使血管收缩、血液滞流而不利于经血下行。

4、在行经期内一般都忌食鸭肉、马肉、蟹、蛤蜊、田螺、螺蛳、蚌肉、蚬肉、牡蛎肉、鳢鱼等凉性肉食;行经期内同样也应忌食辛辣而有刺激性调料烹调的鱼、肉、禽类菜肴。
